Step 8: West Bank Tour – Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut & Colossi 

Cross to Luxor's West Bank for your morning archaeological tour:

• Valley of the Kings – Enter 3 royal tombs of your choice (excluding Tutankhamun and Seti I). Your guide will help you select the best open tombs based on your interests. Learn about the pharaohs' journey to the afterlife and the meaning behind the stunning wall paintings.

• Temple of Queen Hatshepsut – Marvel at the dramatic three-tiered mortuary temple of Egypt's only female pharaoh. Your guide will share the fascinating story of her rise to power and her eventual erasure from history.

• Colossi of Memnon – Stop for photos at the two massive 18-meter-high quartzite statues that once guarded Amenhotep III's mortuary temple.

Step 9: Lunch Break 

Enjoy lunch at a quality local restaurant in Luxor.

Step 10: Private Transfer to Aswan 

Board your air-conditioned vehicle for the scenic 3-hour drive south to Aswan. Enjoy the changing landscape of the Nile Valley and desert.

Arrive in Aswan and transfer to your handpicked hotel for check-in. Freshen up and relax.

Step 12: Free Evening in Aswan 

Enjoy a free evening in Aswan. Optionally, take a traditional felucca sailboat ride on the Nile at sunset (approximately $15–20 USD per boat – payable locally). Dinner is on your own.

Step 14: Visit the Aswan High Dam (8:30 AM – 9:30 AM)

Visit the Aswan High Dam, Egypt's modern engineering marvel. Learn how this massive project controls the Nile's annual flood, provides electricity to the nation, and created Lake Nasser – one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.

Step 15: Visit Philae Temple (10:00 AM – 11:30 AM)

Take a motorboat across the Nile to the island sanctuary of Philae Temple. This beautiful temple complex, dedicated to the goddess Isis, was painstakingly relocated during the UNESCO rescue project when the High Dam was built. Your guide will share the legends of Isis, Osiris, and Horus as you explore this romantic and well-preserved site.

Step 16: Optional Visit to the Unfinished Obelisk 

If time permits, add a quick visit to the Unfinished Obelisk (entry not included – approximately $10 USD payable locally). See the massive obelisk that cracked during carving, giving archaeologists valuable insight into ancient Egyptian stone-working techniques.

Step 18: Departure to Marsa Alam (2:00 PM)

Board your air-conditioned vehicle for the return drive to Marsa Alam (approximately 5 hours).

Step 19: Drop-off at Your Marsa Alam Hotel (7:00 PM – 7:30 PM)

Arrive back at your Marsa Alam hotel or resort. Tour ends.
