Day 1: Marsa Alam to Luxor – East Bank Wonders

Step 1: Early Morning Pickup from Your Marsa Alam Hotel (5:00 AM – 5:30 AM)

Your Egypt Tours guide and driver will pick you up directly from your Marsa Alam hotel or resort. Enjoy a warm welcome and settle into your private or shared air-conditioned vehicle for the approximately 4-hour drive to Luxor.

Step 2: Arrival in Luxor & Quick Refreshment Stop (9:30 AM)

Arrive in Luxor and stop briefly for a restroom break, coffee, or light snack (not included). Your guide will provide an overview of the day's itinerary.

Step 3: Visit Karnak Temple Complex (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Begin your Luxor exploration at the magnificent Karnak Temple – the largest religious complex ever built. Walk through the Avenue of Sphinxes, stand beneath the 134 towering columns of the Hypostyle Hall, and see the sacred lake. Your Egyptologist guide will bring the stories of Amun-Ra and generations of pharaohs to life.

Day 2: Hot Air Balloon & West Bank – Return to Marsa Alam

Step 7: Early Morning Hot Air Balloon Pickup (4:30 AM – 5:00 AM)

Very early pickup from your Luxor hotel for the highlight of your tour – a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the West Bank.

Step 8: Balloon Launch & Flight (5:30 AM – 6:15 AM)

Transfer to the launch site, receive a safety briefing, and ascend into the sky just as the sun rises. Drift peacefully over the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon for approximately 45 minutes. Capture breathtaking aerial photos before a gentle landing. A light breakfast or snack is typically included after landing.

Step 9: Return to Hotel for Check-Out & Breakfast (6:45 AM – 8:00 AM)

Return to your hotel to check out and enjoy your included breakfast.

Step 10: Visit the Valley of the Kings (8:30 AM – 10:30 AM)

Cross to the West Bank and enter the legendary Valley of the Kings. Your ticket includes entry to 3 royal tombs of your choice (excluding Tutankhamun and Seti I). Your guide will help you select the best tombs based on your interests and explain the meaning behind the stunning wall paintings and the Book of the Dead.

Step 11: Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (10:45 AM – 11:45 AM)

Climb the dramatic three-tiered mortuary temple of Egypt's most successful female pharaoh. Your guide will share the fascinating story of Hatshepsut's rise to power and her eventual erasure from history.

Step 12: Visit the Colossi of Memnon (12:00 PM – 12:20 PM)
