Who knew you could dive in the Red Sea one day and stand in front of the Pyramids the next? This day tour from Marsa Alam to Cairo was an absolute whirlwind adventure, and worth every minute of the early start!
The day began with a smooth pick-up from our hotel and a short flight from Marsa Alam to Cairo (which was included and so much easier than a long drive!). We met our Cairo guide, Youssef, right at the airport—a true expert whose passion for his city’s history was infectious.
Standing before the Great Pyramid of Giza truly took our breath away. Riding camels across the plateau with the Sphinx watching over us felt like a dream. Youssef knew all the best photo spots and helped us avoid the biggest crowds. After that, we explored the Egyptian Museum (and now the new Grand Egyptian Museum, depending on the tour timing), where treasures like King Tut’s mask left us in awe. We also had a delicious local lunch at a authentic restaurant.
Yes, it’s a long day—but perfectly organized. The flight made the journey comfortable, and having a private guide and driver in Cairo meant we maximized our time without any stress. If you’re staying in Marsa Alam and want a taste of ancient Egypt’s greatness, don’t hesitate. This tour is a stunning contrast to the coastal relaxation and an experience we’ll never forget!”

We were a bit unsure about taking a full-day tour from Marsa Alam to Cairo, but it ended up being the absolute highlight of our Egyptian holiday! The convenience of the included flight made all the difference – no long desert drives, just a quick and comfortable trip to Cairo.
Our guide, Nour, met us at the airport with so much energy and excitement. She brought the history of Cairo to life in a way we never expected. Seeing the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx in person was a surreal, pinch-me moment – it’s something you see in books your whole life, and suddenly you’re there! The camel ride around the plateau was such fun and made for incredible photos.
We also visited the Egyptian Museum (and even got a sneak peek of the new Grand Egyptian Museum), and Nour’s storytelling made every artifact fascinating. We enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant – the flavours were amazing.
Yes, it’s a very long day – you leave early and get back late – but it’s perfectly paced, and having a private guide meant we never felt rushed or lost in crowds. If you want to experience ancient history and modern culture in one unforgettable day, this tour is absolutely worth it. An unforgettable adventure!”
